Eating

We suggest that commuters consider bringing a lunch each day, and that families staying on campus plan on making most of their meals in their residence.

Veritas (you will see it as you walk near the Music Building) is open Monday to Thursday from 9:30 am to 4 pm. Seating is limited but there is an outdoor patio.

Within a few blocks of campus, there are many restaurants, ranging in quality and price from McDonald’s to various bistros, ethnic restaurants, American-style family restaurants, cafés and pubs.

Byte 75 in Lazaridis Hall (across the street from the entrance to Laurier at 64 University Ave. West) will be open for participants.
Located on the main floor of Lazaridis Hall, BYTE 75 offers a premium selection of flatbreads, salads, sandwiches, soups, and baked goods. It features Fair Trade coffee and provides a variety of hot and cold beverages, desserts, and more.
Hours: Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 6 pm and Friday from 8 am to 2 pm

Convenience stores are located adjacent to the campus, and major grocery stores are located within a five-minute drive. Drugstores, banks and cash machines are all nearby.

If you walk left on University from the Laurier entrance to Phillip St. (there is a Popeye’s supplements store at the corner), you’ll find Chinese, Japanese and Korean restaurants and shops. There is the excellent Ken Sushi House at 256 Phillip Street. If you walk to King Street (to the right, and then right), you’ll find the city’s downtown with many restaurants, shopping and entertainment.

You will get a listing of places on campus to eat in your registration package. CHECK WHAT IS NEARBY
